Maddox wanted to be Batman for Halloween this year, so naturally, Mason was Robin. They turned out pretty well for homemade costumes, I have to admit, I was pretty impressed with how well they came together. Maddox totally got it this year, and Mason understood that he got candy, but he had a hard time with the concept of collecting the candy to eat later. He wanted to eat every piece the moment he got it, which made things a bit challenging. They went trick or treating three times, in Andersonville and Lakeview for their neighborhood festivals, and then on Bradley Place for Halloween night. It was raining on actual Halloween, but that didn't deter them. Mason was the bolder of the two, unafraid of crowds and strangers handing out candy, but Maddox would sometimes choose not to visit a house if there were too many kids crowded around. We never got around to carving our pumpkin this year, but they both loved dressing up, and they both found a new love for lollipops.
