November Beach Day

Say what??!

It was 72 degrees here this past week. Crazy! But I am not complaining!

I am all in favor of delaying the cold. It's not too often that we can visit the beach beyond August. Let alone November. We mainly played in the sand. Mason did do some wading. But the water is never warmer than just-barely-tolerable. So he didn't stay in long.

He did do some exploring with Grandma Lark, while I visited with a friend and Milo slept. It was such a beautiful day. I'll take it.

Milo at Four Months

I am just loving this age.

And, though I do miss the sleepy, snuggling slug stage, I am glad to be past the fussy, crying in the evenings, screaming in the car seat, up every hour stage. All that to say: he is finally sleeping 3-5 hour stretches at night! And he no longer cries the entire time he is in the car! And he goes to bed with only a little fussing. All good things.

(His morning stretch. Just perfection.)

Everything is just so much fun with Milo right now. He is still cuddly and snuggly, and doesn't yet move when I put him down somewhere. But he is so much more alert, and just so smiley!

He is a more sensitive little guy. He doesn't like a lot of loud noises, too much commotion, being too roughed-up by his brothers, or the occasional stranger talking to him a little too much. He has opinions. A lot like Maddox as a baby.

But he is also very happy. He has an easy smile. And is becoming very social. Which reminds me of Mason as a babe.

He loves to "talk" so much. Cooing and squealing are more common place than crying these days. And he is starting to giggle more and more. Not quite a full on belly-laugh, but just enough of a chuckle to melt my heart.

He had his four moth checkup this week. He weighs 18lbs 5oz, and is 25.5in long. Such a chunk.

I'm so glad he's healthy. Poor baby hated being examined and having his shots. It's hard on a mama.

He is getting really good at gripping his toys! Usually with two hands, but sometimes only one. He hasn't found his feet yet though.

He's getting better with tummy time, still doesn't love it though. And not interested in rolling over yet. He has too much watching to do, with his crazy brothers running around.

I am so in love with this little dude. I feel like I finally know him. His likes and dislikes. His personality. He just feels like mine. And that's a good feeling.

I love you sweet baby Milo. More than you will ever know.

Middle and Little

How adorable are these boys?

I mean, they are just the sweetest. I am treasuring these precious days before Mason is off to school next year.

Mason just loves being a big brother. And Milo adores both of his brothers. He is a loved little boy. I just wish I could freeze time, right here. Life is so sweet right now.

If only they would stay little. But, like they say, babies don't keep. I just pray that all my boys will always know how much I love them.

Happy Boy

He is just the smiliest little guy! His little face can soothe the hardest of days. Milo Jeffrey I hope you are always this full of sunshine!

Halloween 2015

We got one big pumpkin to share this year. Maddox loved pulling all the slimy stuff out of the pumpkin. Mason wasn't so sure.

The boys each picked a superhero symbol that they wanted on the pumpkin. Maddox chose green lantern, Mason chose Batman, and Mason chose Flash for Milo.

didn't have the time or energy to do homemade costumes this year. Mason wanted to be Flash, Maddox wanted to be Captain America, and so I picked up a Superman onesie for Milo and called it good. Love those super boys!

There will be years where I have more capacity for creative, unique costumes. But not this year.
Maddox had a Halloween party at school. I was able to be there to help out, which I loved.

We were also invited to a Halloween Party at Moody Church. The boys had a lot of fun playing games and jumping in the bounce house, and eating their first cotton candy.

And of course we did some major trick or treating. Mason refused to approach the especially spooky homes, or people handing out candy that were dressed a little too convincingly. There was a joker costume that he found quite intimidating. I just love that his bold and fearless personality also comes with a tender heart. All in all, I'd say this halloween was a pretty good one. Especially with this crew.

Snuggle Bugs

Mason has long been a nighttime snuggler. Most night he ends up in our bed without waking us, except to ask one of us to cuddle him.
But lately he's been crawling into bed with Maddox instead. It warms my heart when I go in, and see them snuggled up together. I am so glad that Mason finds comfort in his big brother. Though I do miss his cuddles. I'm definitely hoping we haven't seen the last of it just yet.
