Maddox is 9 months old today. NINE months. Can you believe it? I have had him in my arms just about as long as he was in my belly. I can't believe how much he has grown lately. He has really seemed to blossom this month. He is his own little person with his own little personality, and he is so much fun. It seems that he gets more fun with each new stage of his life. I adored having a little newborn to snuggle and hold, but this squirrely, flirty, funny, happy nine month old little boy is even better!
*He can officially crawl! He would occasionally crawl in the past, but preferred to army crawl on his belly, but during this last week, he picked up crawling full time!
*If I leave the room, he will come and find me.
*His vocalizing is starting to pick up just this past week. He isn't saying anything close to real words, and even the babbling is limited, but lately he has enjoyed a sustained "o" sound. As in "oooooooooooooooooooh". He hasn't been very interested in vocalizing until now. He would mostly make throat sounds (his sounds would be the same whether his mouth was open or closed, like a hum) but has really began to "say" his noises more often, if that makes sense.
*He can (and does) pull himself up on anything. He loves to stand. He has even figured out how to get back down into a sit from standing. Although he still occasionally cries for help.
*Sleeps through the night occasionally, but usually wakes up once to eat.
*Gets in to everything! Anything he can reach ends up on the floor.
*Loves going outside, swinging on the swings at the park, going for walks in the stroller, eating leaves, watching other people/dogs/buses go by.
*Loves to laugh! A silly face, a silly noise, Jasper. Anything will elicit a giggle.
*A couple of nights ago he laughed in his sleep. Not just a chuckle, but a full blown belly laugh. Whatever he was dreaming about must have been hysterical!
*Still nursing around the clock and eating some finger foods here and there.
