Our day without Daddy

Matt left this morning to do a bridge inspection in Iowa, so the boys and I were on our own today and tonight. Matt should be back early in the afternoon tomorrow.

Today the boys were up before 7, and they were c.r.a.b.b.y.

The morning was pretty good, we ate breakfast (they ate oatmeal, I ate pumpkin walnut almond-flour pancakes).

Then we made a trip to Whole Food for a couple of things I wanted to try (raw honey and chia seeds). The boys each picked out a small cookie from the bakery.

Greek yogurt with homemade granola and chia seeds

After lunch and naps we headed to the Dekker's house, they had invited us for dinner. We had pizza (I had salad) and the boys played.

Then we came home, did baths (Maddox wanted to send Matt a picture of himself sitting on the step stool, and although he looks cold, he was just making silly faces), and then read a few books.

Both boys were in bed by 9.

It was a crazy day, but I am so blessed to be able to spend all my days with them.
